The National Police Chief is Committed to Providing the Best Service for Women and Child Victims

WartaBulukumba - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo confirmed his commitment to provide the best service in handling and law enforcement of criminal acts involving women and children victims.

This commitment was conveyed directly when receiving Komnas Perempuan's hearing at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Friday, February 4, 2022.

"So first it is related to our concern for problems and issues of women and children in particular. It has indeed become one of the programs that I then want to take seriously. That is what I said during the fit and proper test at the DPR," Sigit said at the hearing.

In terms of institutions, Sigit revealed that currently the National Police are developing the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) into a separate Directorate at the Bareskrim Polri and Polda levels. 

"That's why I said, now it's in the process. In terms of handling, we want our own directorate. Special Directorate that handles it. So later at the Headquarters level there will be one star. So there will be a Directorate at the Polda. at the police level. Down to the bottom," said the former Banten Police Chief.

Reported by WartaBulukumba.com from PMJ News on Friday, February 4, 2022, the former Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police stated that by being filled in a professional manner and with integrity, it is hoped that women and children will become victims twice.

"When interrogated, those who deal with different genders will cause new problems. So they feel they have been victims twice. We will process this going forward. The process is indeed being carried out by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform," said Sigit.
