WartaBulukumba - After appointed as a terrorist community by the government of Indonesia, Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata Teroris (KKB) Papua is haunted by the Special Forces of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) since this week.

In contrast, The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) claimed that the president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), supported them to make a peace with that terrorist community to solve the conflicts in Papua.

Ahmad Taufan Damanik, the chairman of Komnas HAM revealed that issue during a discussion on YouTube on Wednesday, 5 May 2001.

The discussion was held on the Youtube channel of DPD GAMKI entitled "Stop Human Rights Violations, Peace for Papua."

Taufan Damanik stated that his meeting with the president discussed how to solve the problems in Papua and they have suggested several proposals.

"So, we have made several proposals and the president has responded to them positively," said Taufan.

In Addition, Taufan Damanik asked for political support from the president to undertake a peace dialogue with the Papuans.
