Deputy for Meteorology Guswanto said this early warning was based on the analysis of the latest atmospheric dynamics, there is a potential for increased rainfall over the next week in most parts of Indonesia.

"This condition is triggered by an increase in atmospheric dynamics activity, such as the active Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) and atmospheric wave phenomena, namely the Equatorial Kelvin and Rossby waves," said Guswanto, in a press release, to reporters, Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

He continued, specifically the Jakarta Tropical Cyclone Warning Center (TCWC) BMKG monitored the growth of Tropical Cyclone 93S seedlings that were formed around the Indian Ocean southwest of Banten or precisely at 13.8°S 105.55°E.
