WartaBulukumba - This year there will be no joint iftar and open house for Indonesian officials.

President Jokowi forbade all state officials and employees in ministries and institutions to hold iftar together during Ramadhan and open houses for Eid al-Fitr.

This is to prevent the spread of Covid 19.

Reported by WartaBulukumba.com from PMJ News on Thursday, March 31, 2022, the policy is contained in the second point of the letter from the Cabinet Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia Number R-0055/Seskab/DKK/3/2022 dated March 24, 2022, which was signed by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

The letter was addressed to the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, the Attorney General, the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, and the Head of the Agency/Institution.

"In order not to carry out joint iftar and open house activities during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1443 H," the letter reads, quoted on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Meanwhile, the first point of the letter explains about the current handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, indicating that the situation is getting better.
