WartaBulukumba - The Indonesian people's kitchen space with an electric stove as the main cooking utensil is still far from being imagined.

Distribution Director of PT PLN (Persero) Adi Priyanto said his party will continue the trial of converting a 3 kg LPG gas stove into an induction electric stove, even though the program has been declared cancelled.

"Trial run. In Solo and Denpasar. We'll see what the behavior of these customers looks like, then we will note what the weaknesses are, what are the advantages, of course we will report them to the government," he said at the BUMN Kopi event in Jakarta, reported by WartaBulukumba.com from Antara on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Adi explained that the program for converting LPG stoves to electric stoves was indeed canceled at the request of the government following the socio-economic conditions of the community. Likewise, the plan to procure induction electric stoves, which are targeted to reach 300 thousand units for 15.3 million customers, was also officially canceled.

"Yeah, that didn't happen," he added curtly.

Adi said PLN saw an opportunity to develop electric stoves. That's why until then PLN was asked to conduct trials or pilot projects in two cities, namely Solo and Denpasar.

"1,000 in Denpasar, 1,000 in Solo, we'll see how it develops, pay attention to the behavior of people who use electric stoves," he said.
