Three 16 year old teenage girls are in the year 2030!
They are Salina (Amanda Rawles), Ulfah (Maizura) and Tara (Asmara Abigail) who meet at The Light, an organization that promises a better life but is shrouded in mystery.

The Light Organization was founded by Ali Khan (Chicco Jerikho) and his wife Sofia (Ayushita).
Director Nia Dinata explained that The Light itself is a translation of how important it is to challenge teenagers to think more critically in the current flow of information, and how he translates it into The Light.
“When everything has gone digital, it's very easy to be influenced by something or someone online. The light and what they promised these three teenagers, more or less, reflected that. So when The Light offers something that feels beautiful in a more structured world, a guaranteed future, they are easily persuaded to join without looking any further," said Nia Dinata, Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
